Explore projects together
Compare project records, connect recurring problems to proposed practices, and examine the outcomes from several angles.
The report selects 30 learning cases, including four historical comparators. They do not represent all Canadian megaprojects. Missing evidence is never a zero value.
Read the report findingsRead the differences, keep the limits
Choose two or three projects. Cost figures retain each project’s budget boundary and financing treatment. A milestone delay is specific to the named milestone, not a common opening date.
Connect recurring patterns with proposed responses
The report groups its issue types into 10 patterns and proposes 10 practices for future projects. Select a pattern or a practice to explore their proposed connections.
Lines show the links proposed in Table 10. Every line has the same width. They do not measure importance, effectiveness or cause. The practices require testing; they are not guarantees of better outcomes.
All proposed connections are shown. Choose a pattern or a practice.
Recurring patterns
Proposed practices
A pattern can relate to several practices, and a practice can address several patterns. Project counts refer to the 30 selected report cases and overlap across patterns. The Indigenous rights and consultation pattern includes constructive partnerships, recorded separately from problems.

Three measures, nine shared records
Among the 30 selected projects, nine have both a comparable cost record and a documented milestone delay. Only these nine appear here. The wider report compares 10 cost records and 12 milestone records separately.
Position shows cost growth and milestone delay. In 3D, depth adds the number of documented problem types, out of 14. This is a description of selected records, not a prediction or a causal model.
Select a mark or use the project selector. The selected project number is shown beside its mark. Gold shows the selected record or a reported range. Lower Mattagami remains a cost interval, about -8% to 0%.
